You can reduce or discharge pressure in a few different ways:
Slow down the pump: This only functions if the pump operator is able to adjust the speed. With a synchronous electric motor, it is ineffective.
Specify a smaller impeller diameter. The adjusted pump performance curve will have a lower head and a lower flow rate with either technique.
